Created in 1928, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is the largest supplier of treated water in the United States, providing water to a service area of 19 million people in six counties.


Tom Morello is a groundbreaking musician both as a solo artist (The Nightwatchman) and as a member of the rock bands Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. He’s long been a valiant activist across issues of homelessness, poverty, hunger, and social justice, among other causes.


UNITE HERE! Local 11 represents more than 30,000 workers employed in hotels, restaurants, airports, sports arenas, convention centers and elsewhere throughout Southern California and Arizona.

Ada Briceno
Ada Briceno is co-President of UNITE HERE! Local 11. She got her start as a front-desk clerk at an Anaheim hotel after high school and later became President at the age of 26 of the Santa Ana-based hotel workers union, Local 681, which merged with Local 11. Before serving as Local 11’s co-President, she was the union’s Secretary-Treasurer.
