Our History
In 2008, Senders Communications Group developed the first definitive guide to LA’s union-made products and labor-friendly services called LA Labor 411. The one-stop print and online directory was full of preferredunion vendors and was distributed free to thousands of local union offices, government agencies and progressive organizations across the greater Los Angeles area. The guide was so well received that two more guides were created, one for San Francisco and one for Washington DC. The complete directory for Philadelphia will be released in 2017.

BuyBlue Campaign
To appeal to a new, younger group of workers, the Foundation launched a “BuyBlue” campaign in 2016 to encourage consumers to shop ethically to support a stronger economy. By patronizing ethical businesses these ethical consumers can help create good middle class jobs with every dollar they spend.
"Economic inequality is the defining issue of our time. All Americans deserves a decent quality of life, which includes good jobs – a safe workplace, living wages and good benefits."
